Ninja Weapons - Scroll

Today we will continue our study regarding tools we use in Anime Ninja. Today we will be looking at a special tool some of use, Scrolls. Yes they look fairly 'domestic' compared to other tools we use. But you should underestimate scrolls' effectiveness.

Scrolls (巻物, Makimono) remain one of the most important pieces of equipment in a ninja's arsenal. Because of their size, multiple scrolls can be carried into battle in the front pouches of a flak jacket or in a pouch. Apart from its usage as a literature medium, the scroll can also be used by ninja to summoncreatures, people and items to their aid. This will save space and prevent the sacrifice of a much needed piece of equipment which may be required later. Some techniques can also be stored in them.

There are also larger scrolls that ninja keep on their back, such as the scroll Tenten uses as her primary combat weapon prior to the Fourth Shinobi World War, the Scroll of Seals or the toads' Summoning Contract that Jiraiya keeps. Naruto also keeps a scroll in the back of his Sage outfit which he uses to reverse summon shadow clones, in order to increase the length of time he can stay in Sage Mode.Hashirama Senju also carried giant scrolls with him into battle.
