Sakumo Hatake ( はたけサクモ, Hatake Sakumo), renown across the shinobi world as Konoha's White Fang (木ノ葉の白い牙, "Konoha no Shiroi Kiba") was a Jounin of Konohagakure. He Had kind face with dark eyes which had deep lines running underneath them. He had spiky silver-coloured hair that reached into the middle of his back tied in a pony tail and bang that hung over his forehead protector.
Sakumo was a famous and powerful ninja of Konohagakure, during his lifetime, he held fame that was said to overshadow even that of Sannin. He also father of the famous Copy Ninja Kakashi Hatake. His wife had died when Kakashi was very young. Kakashi really idiolize him so much and desiring to become like him.
Sakumo was hailed as a Genius Shinobi, even Minato Namikaze ( Fourth Hokage ) was praised for his talent. Rumors said you can't win face to face against Sakumo, since his powers is equal with all of Sannin. He was excel at using tanto. His tanto called the White Light Chakra Sabre due to white chakra emited when wielded, with this weapon he gain title "Konoha's White Fang". After he died, he left his tanto to his son.
Sakumo died 5 years before his son became a Jounin, he and his team were sent on a very important mission for Konoha. When his team-mates lives were endangered, he faced hard decision, to save their lives or finish the mission. He choose to save their lives and abandon the mission. The Impact of the mission's failure cause Sakumo to be vilified by the villager of Konoha, even those he had saved. In the end he decided to Commited Suicide because deep depresion. For many years, Sakumo stayed in limbo, waiting for the day he could seek forgiveness from his son. After Kakashi died during Pain attack, finally they could meet and talk together. He already forgive his father and still idolize him.
